AYURVEDA
Ayurveda is the sister science of yoga, which dates back to the era of Vedic culture of India. It is knowledge about life, about natural and holistic methods for achieving perfect health and longevity. Ayurveda starts from helping an individual to understand him- or herself, his or her unique nature or constitution, and then realise the impact he or she has on the whole environment, which is not only everything that takes place on the outside, but also within the person. Ayurveda emphasises how important it is to choose life in full balance and harmony.
Katarzyna Stryjniak-Erickson, a certified teacher of Yoga therapeutic and ayurvedic consultant, became fascinated by Ayurveda 18 years ago in New York during the ISHTA Yoga (Integrated Science of Hatha, Tantra and Ayurveda) teacher training course. Dr Scott Gerson and his lectures were her first inspiration as well as her first Ayurvedic studies. Since that time she has been constantly enriching her knowledge, for instance, at the European Institute of Vedic Studies, France with renowned teachers of Ayurvedic medicine such as Vasant Lad. Meeting the world-famous Dr Sunil Joshi in Zurich was an extraordinary inspiration, which brought results in both her personal and professional life. Since 2001 Katarzyna has run the Yoga International Yoga and Ayurveda Centre in Cracow.
AYURVEDIC CENTRE IN GAJ
arose through the combination of the great passion that Katarzyna Stryjniak-Erickson and Dr Deepashri Kale had in common for Ayurveda. This place is an expression of gratitude for all the benefits with which Ayurveda has endowed them and the desire to transmit and share the gift of this ancient wisdom with others: ‘We are opening a place available for anyone seeking support and inspiration, advice and guidance on their way to full balance and joy in their life. Individual selection of lifestyle and nutrition, massage and traditional therapeutic treatments reduces stress, tension, and discomfort, and also prevents various diseases. We invite you to an encounter with this ancient holistic natural medicine: Ayurveda’.

Dr Deepashri Kale completed her studies of Ayurveda (5½ years), earning the degree of Doctor of Ayurveda (Ayurvedacharya) at the State University in Goa. She enriched her knowledge and experience under the guidance of a teacher she had chosen herself, the eminent Dr. Vivek Heldavnekar at the Panchabhautik Chikitsa Kendra in Kolhapur, Maharashtra. She specialised in Panchakarma (Body Detoxification Therapy) in Podar Collage in Mumbai.
